The CANS PTO is a non-profit organization that supports our neighborhood school, aspiring for it to be a place where teachers and students want to be every day so our children will thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our goal is to make everything inside and outside the classroom accessible to everyone, keeping events, sports, field trips, and extracurriculars free or low-cost.

To help advance these goals for our 350+ Pre-K - 6th grade students, the PTO commits to fundraise to support our teachers and staff. Our Annual Fall Fundraiser is our only direct ask for contributions and helps raise funds for a wide variety of programs: field trips, sports, special events (like Culture Fest, Field Day), and at least $350 for each teacher to use for their classrooms. Our budget for 2025-26 is $43,000.

During this 2-week fundraising drive, we hope to raise 75% of that: $32,000, which is about $100 per CANS student.
Can you help us meet our goal by November 3?

We are asking all families to consider giving at a level you feel works best for you, whether that’s donating $10, or $100 for each CANS student in your household, or generously stretching above that to help fund students whose families might not be able to participate this year. We truly appreciate contributions of any size and donations are fully tax-deductible.

For this school year's budget, some of the highlights include:

• $8,750 directly to teachers for them to use however they want in their classrooms
• $10,000 to help offset field trip costs for students
• $3,000 to keep basketball free for all students
• $1,500 for general scholarships to help students participate in extracurricular activities
