Are you looking for a fun activity for your CANS student during the cooler months? Are you hoping to find something to keep them active, social, and away from screens? CANS participates in recreational basketball leagues and registrations are open now, for the 2024-2025 season.
Practices will start in November, and games begin in December and run through February (including tournament games). Practices will be after school at the Clifton Recreation Center (CRC), from 2:30-3:30, one or two days per week. Uniforms are provided and there is no cost to participate.
Young Player Instructional League (Grades K-2): Teams will be co-ed and mostly instructional. Practices will be held one day per week at the CRC immediately after school. Teams have games on Saturdays, off-site at the IDEA Valley View School in Hartwell.
Older Player Recreational League (Grades 3-6): Teams will not be co-ed, and instead each grade will have a girls’ team and a boys’ team (depending on registrations). Each team can have a maximum of 11 players on the roster. Practices will be after school at the CRC, from 2:30-3:30, one or two days per week. Home games are also played at the CRC. Away games are played at the opponents’ gyms, at various locations in the Cincinnati area.
Teams will only be formed if there is a coach available and enough players are registered. The registration form below includes an area where you can indicate your interest in coaching or volunteering in other ways. You will hear back on or around October 28.
